Initial Meeting With Dr. Ejaz

Today we met with Dr. Ejaz to discuss our project Idea. It was a general overview that gave us certain direction. Edwin and Ryan had 3 Ideas for their senior design project that they thought may work. The first idea was a Self Parking car, the second was a sliding door that operated via magnets, and the third was 3 products centered around the idea of energy/water conservation: The first product was a sensor that would alert the user via the phone that their toeilt was leaking, the 2nd product was sensor that would adjust the flow rate in the shower head after a certain amount of time has passed by, and the third was a sensor that would notify the user, via their phone, if the refrigerator door was open.

Professor Ejaz thought the conservation idea was a bit too easy, and that the sliding magnetic door was a bit too difficuilt. However, Professor Ejaz thought that the self parking car, while done before, would be a good mix of mechanical engineering and programming that would be doable but difficult.

We were then asked to come up with more details for our next meeting, which will be on 5-31-2018 at 5:30PM.
